Our wave in the Gulf is down to a 10 percent chance of development as it heads towards Texas this week.
Our Atlantic system (I97) is now up to an 80 percent chance of development. Most models are agreeing early on I97’s path and have it pulling northward near the Antilles and then curving more NNW from there. Currently, it’s not a threat to the Bahamas or U.S. based on recent runs, so that’s a plus.

We should still watch it though, since we have seen these early forecasts dramatically change quickly.
Models are also sniffing out a possible final hurrah MDR wave coming off Africa the last week of September, so we’ll be watching for this also.
I’ll continue to stick with my 2019 mantra, #TakeTheBeastEast, since it seems to be working so far….
