What To Do First
- Take photos or video of damage prior to cleanup. If possible, do not throw away damaged items until the claims adjuster has reviewed them, but remove all the water-soaked items that you can to prevent mold.
- Notify Tower Hill of damage as soon as possible by reporting a claim online or on our mobile app. You can also call 800.342.3407 to start the claim filing process.
- Make temporary repairs in order to help avoid further damage, such as placing tarps on damaged roofs or boarding up broken windows. Hire only licensed, reputable repair companies and be sure to keep receipts for all repairs to provide to your claims adjuster.
- Have your household inventory available for the claims adjuster, complete with photos/videos, receipts, and important information such as make and model numbers.

Damage Assessment Options
Your Tower Hill claim adjuster may be able to resolve your claim without an on-site inspection. Depending on the severity of damage, we may instead rely on photos, repair estimates or virtual inspection reports that show the cause and damage extent. Your adjuster will be your primary contact throughout the claim process and will discuss the available damage assessment options with you. Your adjuster can also answer questions about policy coverages and deductibles.

If you’re using a portable generator for power after the storm, please use caution and follow the instructions. Never use a generator in an enclosed area, because the engines emit carbon monoxide. Generators should only be used outside and away from doors, vents and open windows. Do not operate generators in wet conditions or near flames.
