Hi, My name is Julie, and I’m a student at Rhode Island School of Design, where I study design and animation.
My Summer 2024 internship at Tower Hill as a Digital Design Intern in Marketing has been a tremendously rewarding and enriching experience. This opportunity allowed me to immerse myself in various aspects of digital design, work across multiple departments, and develop designs for numerous projects, all of which contributed significantly to my growth both academically and professionally.

The biggest factor in choosing where to intern was the people I would be working with. I love my team and everyone I’ve met here. Tower Hill has a great family culture where I’m always excited and happy to come to work. I love working with people from different backgrounds and fields where I get to learn new things every day. Insurance is something I’ve never thought about working on, but working with my passion for art in the insurance world is beyond amazing. Knowing I’m tackling different tasks with their own unique challenges excites me. This is an industry full of potential and I’m excited to bring my creativity to the table.
Throughout the internship, I had the chance to work on multiple projects, each offering unique learning opportunities. One of the most memorable projects was designing materials for Tower Hill’s affiliate company, Bluegrass Insurance Management. This project required me to create both printed and digital materials, ensuring they adhered to consistent brand guidelines. It was a valuable exercise in maintaining brand identity across different mediums, and it sharpened my skills in design consistency and attention to detail.
I’m looking forward to seeing where this internship will take me in the future. Special thanks to Lem, Vee, Lita, Portia, and Jane for always supporting me and working with me over the summer.
