Invest 95 is down to a 10% chance of development over the next 5 days after facing heavy shear yesterday.
Invest 95 is not expected to strengthen much as it heads WNW over the next few days.
Most models have it crossing over Cuba and turning west over southeast Florida this weekend as a rainmaker, but we’ll continue to watch it.
Now let’s get to this new wave, which I’ll call #2 for now. This is the wave I mentioned yesterday.
#2 has a 20% chance of development over the next 5 days. I’m not going to sugarcoat it: the system looks strong. We definitely need to watch this wave for the next few days as it heads west.
Most models currently forecast no development, but #2 is still a long ways out. It is expected to head west this week and turn more northwest by this weekend. East coasters should watch closely. More to come.
Also, there’s a strong wave in between these two that is looking better each day. Strangely, it hasn’t been mentioned yet. Huh…
Anyway, be sure to stretch those neck muscles and apply those eye drops, because it looks to be a busy week tracking the tropics.
